Default 700N DFC tail slider bearings

So we were flying this weekend and noticed that the bearings the the tail control arm and slider are developing play, it appears between the outer race and the tail control arms.

While not a big deal we think it is causing some tail wag in high speed maneuvers, banks and such ..

this is a new kit, with the slider that has arms on both sides of the sliding block.

you can readily see if it you grab the arms and lightly twist or move

is anyone else seeing this and if so what are you doing about it?

FYI, see the same thing on the 600n DFC tail slider

Align Tail Assembly Tips (17 min 12 sec)

See above.

Occasionally the factory does not apply sufficient Loctite to the bearings to secure them to the linkages.

Properly loctited, the tail assembly will stay tight.

I have found that the DFC style pitch slider and dual point control arms are never tight from the factory and do not have any Loctite

Make sure you follow the directions in this video.
If you still have a wiggle, you can focus elsewhere.

I followed them, although I used CA as I had none of the lock tight. after several flights they are still holding strong, thank you very much.

I did make one additional adjustment. I wasn't happy with how much play I had between the center sleeve (brass that actually slides up and down the shaft and screws into the dual point block) and the control arm (hope I am making sense). Anyway I unscrewed it and slipped a 450 Pro DFC main shaft shim on it and reassembled. it is all working like a charm.

Shimmed mine too. Also with mine, I found the screws were just a tad smaller on the hex part. Neither a metric nor Std Allen wrench fit in them. I replaced all my screws too
