Default How do you mount your ball links??

I cant really find the right info with a search here, so my question is how you guys put your ball links on the ball???

Compass on the outside or on the inside??

And from wich direction you ream your links??? reamer in on the Compass marked side or the unmarked side???

I am doing a rebuild and am about to replace all the links I am in doubt what to do. I had them on compass facing inside.

In the Finless Bob video, he said install with Compass (and the ring) to the outside so that's how I've been doing mine. I also snap them onto the link sizer as if I were installing them on one of the ball links.

There's a right and wrong way? Now you tell me.

Just kidding. On the Compass links I have the ring to the outside (I think). I only have those on the servo ends. All my links on the swash are QuickUK and it doesn't matter with those.

I have NO idea! Is there really a difference?
I'd love to get my hands on some more quickuk links too. Seem to last and fit better, and have less resistance than anything else I have used.

I snap the link on from either side and have never had a problem.

Raised ring facing out..

Compass links are good but you need to get the compass ball sizer or some other sizer.. If you dont resize they will be tight and cause issues, typically with the tail..
