I have an Align 450L, so I'm biased towards that. I hear it doesn't crash well, so far I haven't had the pleasure of finding out, but that's undoubtedly around the corner somewhere... More data needed to confirm or deny.

I hear awesome things about the Gaui X3, cheap to crash, awesome to fly.

On FBL I have settled on Spirit (Pro), that is, I will buy it when I can afford it(read: Next paycheck), I've read forums up and down, sideways and backwards, and it seems to be an awesome unit, and it's not that expensive either. I'm sure the rescue feature will be handy in a pinch.

I think the 450L on Gpro is incredible and excellent. Though I would like to build an X3 belt tail, VBar, KST servos, KDE motor, CC ESC and the FBL governor on.

That will be a mean and nasty little helicopter.

I'd also fly the BX Plus no problems. I wasn't complaining about it when starting this thread. I was just shocked that Align would ditch the Gpro already. Its pretty awesome.

The Gpro can hang with the Vbar. They are totally different.. but the Gpro can hold its own.

Maybe so but Mikado have also discontinued the Vbar... 'Holding it's own' with some other obsolete and discontinued FBL controller isnt really enough for a relatively new product.

And what is Align to OMG (assuming OMG is the factory that truly manufactures them) if not a 'customer'. Just because Align have their name put on the servos and then go on to sell them to the public doesn't mean that Align are not OMG's customer.

My personal view is the 'maker' of the servos is the company who does the physical manufacturing. You dont have to agree with me, it's a free world.
