Talon & 7.4V
Is the lack of a 7.4V BEC setting a hardware limitation? Just wondering why its not there. If its firmware has anyone heard of a beta version that includes it?
Talon 90 btw. Thanks

7.4 is lipo nominal, if your servos are HV they'll handle 8 volts, the difference is splitting hairs really. Most people would never notice the difference from 6 to 7.4 to 8 volts anyway.

I have KST DS215MG servos for cyclic on a Goblin 380. The specs say 7.4V max but they should be ok at 8V because they're rating as nominal?
The tail servo is rated 8.4 max.(DS515MG). It just makes me wonder about the 215MG's ability to handle 8V Thanks

Talon is there cheap no frill line of ESC’s so you don’t get any options. You do get a lot of BEC power loss with the Talon due to the single low current connector. I have never understood why they didn’t use two wires.
If you really need more servo power just remove the red wire and install a CC BEC Pro. The CC BEC Pro has two power wires that give you much better performance. That’s what I use. . |
