Default Canope mold progress

Got bored this afternoon so I took the plastic case the mcpx canope come in filled it in with some bondo took it out after it harden sanded it down panted after going to give it a nice waxing and put a thin layer of fibre glass hopefully after the fibre glass dries it'll peel off easy but here's a picture of my work in progress hoping to turn out decent.

That's pretty cool, someone on this forum made a mold like that and a vacuum table to make their own canopy.

Finally got the fibre glass onto my mold will have to do the cutting and sanding tomorrow morning it's looking good so far

Yea I seen that I wish I had the equipment to do that probably be so much quicker and cleaner then this fiberglass lol

Well my finished product it balanced out the heli pretty good using the 550 batteries

Thats pretty kewwwwwl, Looks strong to. Run it up to you local post office and ask real nice for them to weigh it. That is if your really wanting to no. My p.o. has a scale over in the corner just for me i guess.

I'm the one (or one of those) that made my own vacuum system for canopies, it works awesome and was very easy/cheap to do, and supplies me with endless, nearly free canopies for my abused mcpx, and now that im set up only takes minutes to make new ones. did nearly the same as you for the mold. just dropped stocker into some clay for support and filled it with plaster, sanded, etc... anyone needs advice on how to do it just drop me a line.

keep the homemade innovations coming!
