Trex 600 throttle problem

Recently got back into flying chopers. I just got my 600 trex and began testing it. The blades and what not are all off. I noticed that when I give it throttle the head goes up about a quarter inch and then stops. I know something isn't right. Any help?

The list of possibilities is almost endless.

* It isn't the throttle.
It is most likely the collective. Collective will raise and lower the swashplate evenly (which applies equal pitch to both blades).
Cyclic will tilt the swashplate left/right forward/backwards and apply equal but opposite pitch to the blades for rolling L/R and pitching the nose U/D.
Collective is typically set in the transmitter's "Pitch Curve" screens.

* Is this a flybar equipped head or a flybarless head?
If it is flybar, then 100% of the collective / cyclic setup is done in the transmitter.
If it is flybarless - and not using the Align 3GX - then 90% of the setup is done in the FBL gyro and 10% is done in the transmitter.

* Did you start with a new, blank, "Helicopter" model in your transmitter?

And the list goes on.

If you provide more details of your helicopter, it would help get to the root of your setup.
