The purpose was to get individual videos. The author of the videos did not matter.

We still need hook up videos and a Rx selection video.

Fair enough, it's your idea, and thread, and it is a good one, so if you had no thoughts or concerns about the number of authors, then so be it, I stand corrected. Either way it is a good job by nexgen, I wasn't trying to detract from that, as I said, I just thought it would be cool to see a lot of contributors. Thanks for clarifying your intentions, and as you say, there are still some other videos that remain to be done.

Cheers

Sutty

If someone will review the videos for accuracy and approve them, I can copy them into the sticky.

The videos have been copied into post #1 of the Master setup thread.

We still need videos for hooking things up, lets get one for Futaba and Spektrum.

While we are at it, lets get some Rx set up videos as well.

Default Tail gyro only setup

I just got my MicroBeast V2 today and am needing help in setting up in tail gyro only mode. I will be getting a 3 blade head later on when I can afford it, but I got the MB now due to a Phoenixtech gyro disaster. I have the tail gyro only cable on the way and it should be here in a day or so. Any help with this so I can fly this weekend--finally--would be greatly appreciated!

Default Great videos!

Thanks for the videos! Great job! Anyone have any vids on the tx setup? I have my futaba T7C gyro setting on GY and 37% and the light on the beastx is not blue. It seems like it only turns blue when it's set to std. above 50%. I'll post the question on a different thread, but I'm just hoping to see a futaba video. Thanks!

Default V3 Precomp direction

[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tPzua9mvZmg[/ame]

Once you figure out proper direction, fly it in both low and high and see which one holds the tail best in pitch pumps.

Default Thanks,

Hey Nexgen,

I just wanted to say, thanks for the effort of putting these Beast x set up vids on line. There were a fantastic help. On some stages I was a tad unsure of what the manual meant, but your vids made it crystal clear.

I just maidened the Gaui X5 FEs with the Beast x and what a revelation, such a great unit, and just a great combo with the X5.

Regards, Phil

What happened to the idea of a video showing the setup of Spectrum with connections?

I was looking at going fbl with a Beastx, but no way I'm going that route based on a Germanglish Yoda-speak manual and with a lack of any info from the Beastx forum here.

It's the lack of a connections video which right now is making me think of sticking with fb.

Maybe some help instead of a sarcastic comment?

Or do you actually want to deter people from buying Beastx's products?
Right now they're $260 down.

Want me to add a Gaui sale to that?

?? B335, I guess I was replying to FlyingFizzz's comment just before yours. I didn't see your post at the time I made mine, my apologies if you misinterpreted it.

So you are looking for a video walking through how to choose the correct receiver type then? I'll see what I can do to make one for you.

Maybe start your own thread with your specific issue?

BTW, I didn't find the manual bad at all, especially after having viewed the setup videos prior to doing the setup.

What happened was is that I suspect it was considered unecessary. Although Nexgen has now volunteered, I'm with BobO on this one, there is nothing whatsoever Germanglish about the manual in this regard or any other for that matter. It is one of the best manuals I have read with regard to any technical helicopter product I have ever purchased. Don't forget most are Chinglish, and that I can assure you is likely to be far worse. There is a perfectly clear picture on page 15 of the V3 manual which shows exactly how to connect when using a standard receiver, of which Spectrum is one. To me there are really very few words needed. It really couldn't be much clearer, and is all you really need to look at. When you have had a look at that, then you can decide if it is for you or not.

Not saying there weren't aspects that didn't confuse me in the manual, especially during my first time set-up, there were, but connecting it wasn't one of them, and the other things that did were all covered in the videos created by Marcel, which have subsequently been followed up by others.

The people here are not compelled to provide videos to sell BeastX products, or simply to satisfy your demands. They are done in the spirit of a forum, in a collective effort to try to help fellow enthusiasts. If a particular video isn't there, coming on having a go at the contributors for its absence, perhaps isn't the nicest way to go about getting one created.

Personally I could see it was a post timing issue from Nexgen, and knew he was talking to the previous poster, but I can see why you might not have done. That having been said, I'm still not sure there is a need to ask for its provision in the way you did, even at the outset, but then again, maybe I misinterpretted you.

Good luck with your decision.

Cheers

Sutty

Its incidents like this that make me careful to always quote the post I reply to, just in case someone else sneaks in.

As to BX setup, if you actually sit down and carefully read the sections of the manual (hard for a man I know ). You will find it quite simple and straightforward, the manual is well written, compared to most.

If after reading the manual a couple of times you have any specific questions ask, there are plently of knowledgeable people hear who will be happy to help.
