Des Moines IA Heli Fun Fly Saturday Oct 29th (all day)

The Des Moines Modelaires will be hosting the Fun Fly, this will be a free event.

Date: Saturday October 29th

Location: Event will be at our EPJ Field, Address: (use google maps) 12559 NE 72nd St, Elkhart, IA (head east of Elkhart on NE 126th Ave it will be at the T)

Longitude -93 54 45 W

Food and drinks will be available for purchase.

We will have at least three flight stations, I can open a fourth if needed. Turbine (requires waiver), Gas, Nitro, and Electrics welcome. Open to all but AMA required to fly. We have AC power outlets in the club house and all along the flight line (no generators required).

We will be having open flying but if anyone is interested in any competitions that would be great. Usually we have some sort of flight poker going on throughout the afternoon. Be sure to show up before noon to have a better chance of winning.

I would be willing to buddy box on either my Synergy E5s / E7 to those who are interested in trying either a large heli or just flying a heli in general. I will probably also bring out a laptop for a sim.

We have installed strong flood lights on the building so we will have open night flying once it gets dark (helis / planes welcome for the night fly).

So far I am coming over to Des Moines Friday and have dinner with family, then flying on Saturday.

Yes it's still on. Sounds good man, so will I see you in the AM on Saturday? I think some of us are maybe heading up to Marshalltown on Sunday.

Well one of the guys is camping about 5 minutes away and just asked the same question. I plan to be there around 8:30 AM. I still need to strip down an E5 that I sold.
