Yes, you should use the grease they supply with the kit as per instructions. This will allow the rubber rings to move more freely without over wearing them. It also allows for a more even movement inside the head dampening......

If it moves, lube it. If it's not supposed to move, LocTite or CA it.

But does the spindle move. If the grips are tight than there should be no side to side movement and any radial movement is all done in the grips. I oil them but just love to argue, so were is the movement.

*IF* the spindle was locked in a bearing or some machined/cast plastic/metal part, it wouldn't move. It does provide some flapping movement via the rubber dampers and should be lubed.

If you don't grease the spindle on a Raptor 50 you get the head nodding, it's supposed to move, all be it only slightly so grease it.

I will not say greasing is the wrong thing to do but I don’t grease them, I come from Min Air and they stress not to grease there’s. I have greased others in the past and never liked it, greasing makes the damping softer, I prefer stiffer, after 200+ flights still stiff and doing great. It does say to grease it and that’s ok but it is not the only way depending on what you are looking for. I am using the black dampers.
