Is that the same tail as the legacy? Looks it

You go it. It's exactly the same tail assembly. We did this because there is nothing wrong with the original tail assembly and dealers like to be able order one SKU for more than one kit!

Makes sense. I do agree, this tail is slop free.

Default If it ain't broke................

Don't fix it
Seeing the components in sub assembly form is awesome, like little jewels, truly works of art. Keep the photos coming!
Thanks again!

Here's mine, flew absolutely amazing for 3 minutes. Then my kosmik bricked. Can't wait to get it in the air again. You guys are going to love it.

Got started on my build today, but ran into a couple of little hiccups.

First was the missing center washer. There are supposed to be 34 of them total (17 each side of the main frame. From the sealed bag, I received 33. So I installed one of the front canopy mount's breakaway without it. If anyone got 35 of them, you got one of mine!

Second issue: I cannot for the life of me get the radius arm link bearings to snap into the plastic links. Chad had messaged me earlier in the evening regarding this as well.

Sorry for the mess, We just moved this weekend, and I took a break in unpacking to blow off some steam by wrenching.

My workbench is buried in the shop at the moment, so I spent some time on the floor in the den. Lighting is a little bad, but yeah..

Color me curious. What happened to the kosmik?

I've been hearing and seeing an awful lot of failures on Kontronik esc's lately. Makes me worry about my own stuff.

Mine too was missing a frame washer. Luckily my Legacy had a nice spare kit that had an extra.

There are issues with the washout arm bearings. I know Charley plans on making an announcement regarding some issues reported by team members who have been building their kits. He's probably still getting settled from OHB though. Rest assured, issues will get sorted out quickly.

Not sure because I didn't have the SD card in it. It worked for about 3 minutes on the maiden then hard cut and forced an auto that I tipped. The kosmik was quite hot and both leds were blinking continuously. I powered it up again when I got home but it does nothing other than led 1 blinking and it won't connect to my progdisc.

Im no Kosmik expert, but I don't think that is good...... Sorry to see you are having probs with the Kosmik.......

You remember how you had any programming parameters, Phil?? Sounds like either low PWM or timing... Again, just shooting from the hip here..... I could be way off base on that assesment... But probably better get that into Kosmik and let them address it, if it isnt hooking up.

So, ya say the EVO was a fun ride?

Oh yeah, the Evo is a sweet flying machine. Best 3 minutes in the air the whole weekend.

Man it looks gorgeous. I am heavily contemplating selling the mostro I got. Kit is finished but no electronics on it yet.

I only got to satiate my desire for a build. Now that the Evo is out I prefer it....

Hopefully there will be some kits in stock when I'm ready to pull the trigger!

Sweet! Nice servos!

I see you used the rubber bumpers on the servos.

I could not do that with the X8s. Especially using the RCBooya's which are larger in diameter than the stock canopy stand-offs.

Here's a close up showing the lack of space I had.

I am also thinking about mounting the Vortex fbl in the rear on top of the tail boom mount. It would make wiring a lot easier. This might be the first time I actually cut my servo wires to length vs. adding extensions. I will have to extend the ESC throttle cable but extending one cable vs. four is preferable to me.

Daren kept telling me all weekend, "You are going to love this heli."

I will start tonight. My wife has a conference for three days so I may be able to get it done by Friday.
