hey folks I'm wondering if you could help me out.
I've been learning to fly on my belt cp for about 2 months now and, was wondering about moving on to a t rex 450 pro. with a belt cp I can do basic hovering in most orentatiINS and figure of 8 flights. however it seems the helicopter is extremely hard to get set up perfectly. would getting a new helicopter help me learn faster or should I be able to fly this 1 before moving on to a new helicopter. Cheers |

You will be mad you never bought it sooner, trust me, I was. I had the CP Pro. It held me back.

Night and day difference. I had a Belt CP 5 years a go and when I bought my Alight 450 SE v2 I could not believe the difference! From the moment it lifted to a hover the Align was SO stable.

No comparison... I didn't have a Belt but went from a Blade 400 to 450Pro a few years back and I progressed 10X faster. Helis are every bit of you get what you pay for!!

I agree with the guys above.
Started out with a Belt CP back in the day, got fed up with its design and quality and moved onto a 450 SE V2.... astounding difference in flight characteristics. The 450 Pro will be more stable because it runs higher headspeeds, and more predictable without all that slop introduced from the Belts poor head design and sloppy linkages and bellcranks. The only slight drawback with the Pro is the TT tail in regards to stripping gears if you catch the tail blades when landing. The Pro is in no way a perfect machine, but it is leaps and bounds better than the Esky offering... I doubt you would regret moving on to a Pro.

Same for me. I started out with Belt CP (2 of them) for over a year, then got a mini Titan, oh my god it was different LOL

Former esky owner here as well. I had the Belt CPX as my first 450 size heli. I could hover it but it was always very sketchy haha. Probably a combination of poor quality blades, poor electronics and a non programmable TX. After I crashed it, I bought a blade 450x. Best decision I've ever made.

It really does make THAT MUCH of a difference. I recently went from a belt cpx to a blade 450x, night and day difference. Never really had any confidence with the cpx, especially the tail. The moment I got in the air with the 450x I was filled with confidence, so much more locked in and a tail that does what it's told, not what it wants to do lol.
The cpx is now sitting on the shelf while I decide whether or not to make it my new FBL project. Gotta be worth a cheapo head and fbl controller, right? |

If you had improved your piloting skills up to Figure 8 on Belt CP you will start invert immediately as soon as you have a TRex model.
But, in this case i wouldnt advice you a Pro. I think a Sport Model would suit you better. It is much more easier to fix and it is more stable. Prefer a belt version i/o torque tube and a Flybarred head as well for starting. And if you would buy a Clone select a metal rotor head, plastic wouldnt not make too much difference with your current Belt CP. Finally i guess you are using the stock Esky Gyro on your current model, if so upgrading to a "Real" heading hold gyro will bring much joy to your flights. Happy flying. |

I started flying helis and learned how to fly them with a Belt CP V1. By the time I was done it was highly moded and flew pretty well. It was by far no comparison when I moved up to my 450 SEV2. Do yourself a favor and move up the the 450 Pro if you are flying pretty well and not crashing very often. The Belt worked great to learn on, so cheap to crash and repair, but not a great flier.
