Recently had an experience with HK when I purchased two Turnigy 5000mAh 6s 40s batteries! When they arrived I checked the voltages on the batteries and one of them had a voltage of 3.6, on the 1st and 6th cells (the rest of the cells were 3.8). I contacted HK and they asked me to send a pic of the voltage indicator attached to the battery. Once they saw the descrepency they gave store credit to buy another battery! Here's the kicker... I then discharged/charged the bad battery 5 times and was able to resurrect the battery to a full functioning battery! Test flew the battery several times and voltages are holding strong! This was the first time I've ever had an issues with HK and their customer service was great! I guess it's just who you speak with on the othe side!

Yep, I totally agree.

I ordered fomr redgum rc in australia. The blades and canopy in my kit came broken. This guy is making me pay return shipping as well as the cost of posting the new stuff out. He dosn;t have the new blades in stock yet, but I;m not sure if I can pay for the shipping out, seems too unfair.

Default HK sucks

About 6 weeks ago i spent about $100 with HK....after about 4 weeks i contacted them to find out where my order was. It made it to California on the 7th and should have been to Florida on the 12th....the latest. I told them that i still had not received my order and they said it would be 4 weeks to investigate purchase and send a new order or refund my package. After telling them that it was unacceptable i contacted paypal and filed a dispute for the charges. Within one hour the funds were back in my account. GOODBYE HOBBY KING. More like hobby crap. Do yourself a favor pay a little bit more and save yourself the aggravation.

If you purchase anything from a company that arrives DOA the company that sold you the defective product should pick it up and resend you the replacement on their dime. With my site if a customer has a problem in the first 30 days i will pick up and replace the product on my dime.....That is just good service and it is how it should be done. HK (horrible king) Crap!!!

I am not defending Hobbyking. I have brought a motherboard from NewEgg.com and it came defective. There response is not there fault that it is DOA. I had to paid it to get it ship back and if I decide I don't want it I will paid restock fee. So it is not shocking that a company wants you to paid shipping back. I am just being honest. I have order from Hobby king, it took more then 1 month to get to me. i am not a hobbyking fan.

I ordered from the US warehouse also from Hobby King. Understanding the order was coming from a US location. NOT SO, shipment came out of china, What a crap! It took 6 to 8 weeks to get it. didn't even bother to cause a fuss. Just Never Buy from them again no matter how cheap they are.

This is pretty common with most things, not just HK.
Just send it back and get a new pack
And as Skiddz said, 40 orders in here and not one issue.

i just order another pair of these same battery's one of which was bad. 2 cells way low. i contacted online support and explained the deal and they asked if i could email a picture showing the bad cells to the support department. so i hooked it up to my triton eq took a pic and sent off the email. next morning i had an email saying my money was refunded and to keep the bad battery. once again another happy hobby king customer.

When I got a 6S Zippy with a bad cell, I took a picture with it hooked up to my cell checker, showing the warranty sticker and the display of the cell checker. They sent me a new battery and told me to keep the bad one.

Fixed my one puffed cell Zippy 6s 40c 5000.
I used a Turnigy 1s 40c 5000 pack from HK.
I think they cost about $11

Took more heat than my soldering station could muster. I ended up using the torch a to get the solder to flow. The pack didn't get very hot. The toughest part was where the 10ga negative wire was soldered.
