I am just speechless, the quality is outstanding and it feels half the weight of TDR , just amazing. I am not sure who was more excited me or my 8 year old daughter.

Nice. I'm using 4535 then 4540 for speed cup. We have to represent, no matter what division we are in

Why on earth on running BLS 157 airplane servos in the beautiful heli?

You don't need 500oz of torque, but you DO need a sevo that center correctly!

Why do you 1,500oz (or 93.75 pounds) to move your collective?
These servos were meant for giant scale airplanes.. And, believe me, I will overbuilt a heli like you would believe...

But, really, you would do fine, with the 166oz of the BLS255, it still produces 498oz (or 31.125 pounds) of collective lifting power... Is at least 0.02th of a second faster.

I'm not saying you have to go out buy some 255.. I was using it as I comparison...
But, I would seriously considering keeping the 157s...

But, it is YOUR heli.. Your feel free to do what you will with it... Just trying to arm you with knowledge... What you do with it, is completely up to you...

I wish you the best of luck with you work of art... If fact.. Can' I have it? hehe

happy flying

Dam, dam, dam, dam!!! Tough cookie to beat! This kind of makes my decision easy. I am competing with the Banshee!

Unless Jan comes with something wonderful in time...

Joe, the 157 are more than fine for helis. Actually for FBL many prefer torque over speed once you are below say 0.13? I recall someone (Stolla or Jhunter or Vinger or some other usual member) say he felt the heli more solid in fast hurricanes after switching to 157s.

I am using 156 on my TDR which aren't the fastest but do have a lot of torque, in between 255 and 157, and they fly work really well.

On the other hand I placed 4th on the Speed Cup with 451s.....

Thanks Michael, that's what I thought, looks busy with wires all over, I will be shortening all wires and maybe use a HC unit and give it a go. I will contact Rob to see if he can come up with a great idea of a stacked mount for the full size vbar on the Banshee
