Hi Dave,

thanks for your reply.

Guess it's something with my setup then. The tail isn't that crisp @ 1800 rpm. But I'm using another tail servo (BLS256HV), guess that the point. Rest of the setup is stock.

I'm flying the Logo 700 XXTreme for a few days now. It is the best machine for 3D I've flown so far. Kyle, you and all the Mikado team have done a great job!

Accept that using the same length tail blades at a lower head speed vs. a high one, that the tail will loose some of its authority. Kyle doesn't change the numbers at the lower head speeds, but that doesn't mean the tail has the same feel. It doesn't...it can't. There's no magic. He just flies the machine and compensates for the softer tail at the lower head speeds.

If you stay at lower head speeds all the time, going to longer tail blades will help keep the tail's authority up, if you feel it's too slow with the 105's.

Dave, bank switching needn't be on the flight mode switch. Do you never use Aux2 to flip banks so Kyle can try A/B tests on the fly? Or is he pretty much done wondering what his VBar set up should be.

We've never used flight modes for bank switching...always an Aux switch, so we get that part (-: Kyle doesn't use it anymore, because as you suggest, he knows by now what he wants and how to get it with the V-Bar.

I personally use it to achieve a different feel for my helis between hovering and aerobatics, (I also change head speeds for the two flight regimes). So it's a good and valuable feature, but, there's lots of variables in the V-Bar that are not necessarily needed to be used all the time (like paddle sim as an example...never gets used at our house) ...to each their own (-:
