Default Does Updating Firmware Overwrite Settings?

Hi All:

Newbie question... I just got my new 3SX fairly well set up and I just noticed that I'm on V200... does updating firmware overwrite any settings?

Thanks much.

Settings will not be overwritten but there is a big improvement in performance with v202 so you may need to make some adjustments.

Even if the update process is very safe, almost never fails or does anything to the data, do safe your data to your PC before updating. Just in case and for those who want to be 100% sure

I have to do the same update on my Logo 500SE. Are the settings in the software all the same from 200 to 202 ?

I will save the file first, (I most likely already have the file) then update the firmware then reload the settings.

So I should update the firmware to 202 and use the new preset settings ?

https://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=643043

And go test the new settings.

Exactly. You can keep all your heli related settings though, which means you only load and write the preset in the Rigid and Tail page. This will leave all the other pages unchanged, what you want.

Again to explain: the write, read, load and save functions do only do their job for the whole setup if you are in the All page (first tab on the far left). While in all other pages you will only load, read and write the parameter set you currently see on the screen.
