3rd Annual West Alabama Aero Modelers Heli Bash! October 7-8 2016!

Hello everyone!

The West Alabama Aero Modelers (WAAM) are gearing up for our second annual event this coming October. We will be hosting a heli fly-in and would like to extend an invitation and welcome anyone who would like to come fly with us. Everything from Helis, Multi-Rotors, to FPV(heli) is welcome. We have plenty of room to fly! (See the google link at the bottom of this post.)

Note: FPV will be governed by the AMA rules in effect at the time of the event

Landing Fee: $20 (Includes lunch on Saturday!)
Dates: October 7 and 8. (The 9th is open flying for our regular members, however, you are welcome to stay and fly/hangout with us.)

Thanks to PARA we are able to have a fantastic flying site to host events complete with electricity, water, and restrooms.

Camping:
If you would like to bring a pull along camper, or if you have a large RV you are welcome to park them in the parking lot at our field. Please keep in mind, there are no hook-ups! We will leave the restrooms open through the night.

Electric flyers:
Those of you who fly electrics are encouraged to bring items you would normally use if you were in a location that did not have electricity available. We do have electricity at our field, however, it does have limitations. If you have a powerful charging set-up please have your normal power plant with you just in case

Who all is making plans to attend this event this year? This is a great event at one of the best flying facility in the southeast.

I might have to try and make it this is lil way past the Birmingham club right. i just requested this weekend off for another even that has no canceled to change dates. If you don't have a camper is it okay to sleep in your vehicle?

Sounds like it was great fun as usual!

Out of the three events we were thinking of, we went to ZERO I had to go to china for a few weeks , got the call requesting it on monday, and was told I was leaving wednesday. HATE missing tuscaloosa. Always the most "fun" event of the year with great people and a beautiful flying site!
