Default Bad case of the wobbles

This site and its members have been of great help to me with my other heli's , hope someone can help . Bought a "used but good CX2 from my local hobby shop. I managed to bind it to my dx6 and with a few throttle trim adjustments it appears the controls do what they are supposed to. I used the setting from John Salts site on the x-mitter. Problem..as soon as i get lift of the helli shakes left to right with no input from me. Its so bad that i cannot even keep it in the air long enough to try trimming. thanks in advance

Default Shakes

Take a close look at the fly bar, is there a brass weight in both rubber ends?
Does the fly bar rock freely up and down?
Check the balance on both sets of blades. see video

Take a close look and see if there is a plastic link between the swash plate and the lower blades on both sides of swash plate?

If you check these and the helicopter still has the shakes.

Remove inner shaft and role it on a sheet of glass. If it warbles it's bent and you need to replace it.

Hope this helps. It took me 3 weeks to get my used CX2 working not long ago.

Default 2nd thoughts

Put a drop of 3-1 oil on all the bearings while you have the helicopter apart.
Just a little now and wipe them off. Keep it clean.

While it's apart role the outer shaft and see if it warbles. If so it's junk replace it.

Hope this helps.
Will keep an eye pealed for updates.

When working on your helicopter. do it over a shallow box. I use the lid off a bankers box.
These screws vanish if you drop them. And you will drop one.

LOL! Sounds familiar. My "Good" used CX2 had a bent inner shaft.

Default Had to fly mine today

Mine was ok other than the guy messed with the gyro and rudder trim.
I stripped it down and touched it up balanced the blades. Then proceeded to fly it into a wall and break them. like 6 times. Finely got it trimmed up and it is much better now that I just stopped worrying about rudder trim and fly it as it is. I don't know if you can actually stop the tail from drifting for more than 10 seconds.

Just had it up for a fly and stuck it back on the shelf for another while.

Is the shake sort of a twitch like? If so you might need to adjust the gyro on the
3-in-1. The Blade heli site has a "how to" just for this tho its under the CX3 which is basically a CX2 with a different body. The inards are the same. Hope this helps. See the link to the video below.

Mine was shaking terribly after a couple crashes. I tore it down looking for problems, replaced the main shaft, flybar, etc. it still wobbled. I ended up tightening ( shortening) the link rod from the flybar to the top blade and it smoothed it put nicely. Don't know if this will help yours, but it did the trick on mine. I've adjusted that rod after a body change too and it worked.
