Default Question about Helicommand

Hey, Guys,

I'm fairly new to rc helicopters and plan to build either a 450 or 600 class heli soon. My question is: can the Helicommand HC3-Xbase be used with a flybar system? The Helicommand website says you can disable Rigid and use it as a gyro only, but what I'm talking about is keeping the flight stabilization system active with a flybar. Funds are limited (as I'm sure it is for most folks here), and I'm trying to get into flight stablization with the possibility of upgrading down the road as my skills and funds progress.

ANy thoughts?

The HC3-base is a FBL controller only, It can be setup and used as a tail gyro, it has no stabilization according to the chart.
It can not be used with a flybar as a stabilization unit.

Thanks, niteflyr, now the chart makes a little more sense.

So if I read it correctly, only the SX has stablization? And is that strictly for recovery, or does it work like the Helicommand M series?

Sorry about all the noob questions, but trying to sift through all this information is very confusing to me.

The SX has both straight RIGID and Horizontal(stabilized) it also has a ACRO/PITCH bail out function that will level the helicopter and have it retreat skyward in an emergency, this function is tunable

Again, thanks for your help, nightflyr, that was the information I needed! I was looking on other websites, but some of the information is very contradictory. It's nice to come here and get help from people experienced with this stuff! Not sure which way I'm going to go yet, but now at least I have the information I needed.
