@akamullen - Will-do on the pics. May not get to the bench tonight, but my Rex 500 needs some other attention and I will open the 3G sensor when I get the heli fixed before the weekend.

I see you mentioned sticky clay, maybe sugru or the diy oogoo would work well.

Modified one sensor yesterday, flew it today. WOW I am able to run crazy high ail,ele and tail gains compared to before. This is on a velocity 50. In fact I copied the setup from the screenshots at the beginning of the thread, I gambled it would not wobble itself to shreds on spoolup. No bobbles or wobbles no matter how hard I tried. Flips form fff stoped abruptly and without bobble, tic tocs held fine. It was kind of windy and no matter how fast I got it going it did not wobble or hunt once.

I have another sensor to do. I will try to post pics in the next few days. If you look back a few posts I show a diagram based on a prev posted picture. I just filled in the area circled-probably a little more than is circled. I tried to push the sealer into the gaps around the sensors. I did not modify the case at all. The glob of sealer was a little below level with the two vertical sensors. Just open the sensor, apply the sealant, put it back together. I let mine dry overnite. I used Hondabond sealer as I have experience working with it and know it is a quality product and when dry still stays kind of rubbery. Thank you Leon for sharing a good idea.

Just a note- I struggled to eliminate enough vibration to get my gains as seen on the interface above the mid 50's now they are both (ail-ele) in the mid 90's tail gain went fron 70 to 78 on my jr 9303

Used some stuff I was familiar with. First mod was done to the sensors , to join all 3. Next mod was done to underside of enitre unit. (Electronis board) THIS IS JUST AN EXPERIMENT! I cannot say how it will reacte in the air with this extra mod.
I can neither confirm nor deny any improvement in performance at this time.

This is on my 600 which is in pieces and I shall have her up and rebuilt by tommorrow or fri. I shall also B testing the 3g blades.

If my theory is correct, I should have the best flying 3g system that Ive ever had.

If this WERX.............IM GNA B PISSED! LOL. just kidding.

Thanx and praise to OUR MAN LEON LUKE for recommending this!

Peace!

The shiny CLEAR stuff is the adhesive. Basically just laid some over the horizontal sensor untill it touched the other two vertical sensors. In essence glueing all 3 together.

Then i laid this adhesive on the back side of the electronics board. This attached the bottom of the plastic housing to the board. I put the cover back on and screws back in and voila.

The stuff I am using can be found in electronics stores and dries to a dense , yet pliable form after curing. . Hope this helps.

BTW this is a SELF LEVELING adhesive and lays much like an epoxy but DOES NOT harden. It remains rubbery and soft. PEACE!

I just glued my sensors with some shoe goo and epoxied the pins in the white connector on my 250. I'll check it out tomorrow if I have time to see how it improves.

Jondabear, I have a set of the 3G blades on my 600 and they made a huge difference. They fly great. I was going to get a set of them for my 700 but I won a set of curtis fbl 710's, they also fly great, but make the heli feel a little dopey. I might try a set of the edge 693's.

I did the same thing as Jondabear with silicone on the sensors and on the underside of the board. I hope to fly a bit tommorow and will report back. After I type this I am going to set my settings up as per the first photos from leon luke.

Cheers!

What about glueing a small cube of foam between all three sensors? Is ca glue no good?

Does it have to be a certain type of silicon? I am a plumber and have plenty of roof and gutter silicone.

DO NOT USE CA GLUE!!!! The fumes from the glue curing and the fumes released afterward are very corrosive. Some mfg's of esc's and other small rc car electronics have a disclaimer in their warranty regarging this

The foam block may interfere with the alignment pins in the top of the case. With silicone they just push thru and imbed themselves.

No pics or vid YET.

BUT..............Holy son of a CRA%!

This mod is AMAZING on my 700. Didnt change a thing!

Heres a quick run down, Feels MORE locked in, ALOT more locked in. Helped with Cyclic movements. I make an input and....its THERE!.
Even helped with my PITCH. Thought I was just runnung a rich motor and didnt have alot of punch. With this mod AND my heli running 180 f i now have morre punch out than ive ever experienced.

THIS might be our holy grail guys!

Weird what a good sensor will do when its not fighting vibes!

VERY VERY happy with my results. wish I had tried this a LONG time ago. PEACE!:YeaBaby :
