EGG's Msr-X
Parts list:
Msr-x BNF RKH carbon frame RKH swashplate RKH rotor head RKH main shaft collar MH blade grips Mcpx tail boom w/ shortened wires Mcpx tail rotor XTM mcpx landing skids XTM Msr canopy AEO "finned" cooling main gear You can see I have my elevator level here And you can see I have my aileron slanted to the right, hovers perfectly stable, doesnt drift left/right or forward/back. On the Msr canopy it comes with two sets of holes, msr and mcx, mcx holes are the same as msr-x but the body was to far forward so I moved the holes in and covered the rest with decals. I already cracked my rakon frame, sill flys great no difference, ow well only $4.50 shipped to fix it when she finally gives, also broke a canopy post but picked up a 3ft piece at my LHS for $4.69. Had a DX4e from my RTF Mcp-X but stepped up my game to a DX7, Flys so much better with these settings here: https://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=393998 no mixing though, dont need it with good link setup. Forgot to add that she is a pig...lol. 30.5 grams with no lipo...lol! but I still get 5min flight times, hard flying, giant piros, figure eights, nose in fly bys, FFF ect... My only issuse is that it wont fly at my house at 7500ft it only gets 2mins then just low hovers, to high of altitude. If I pull my canopy (4 grams) off its then its 30.9 grams and flys with no issuses at 7500ft (stock RTF is 31grams), but at 5280ft it flys for 5 mins with no issues at 35grams, something to due with the air being thinner at high altitudes, less drag on the blades, helis need drag to lift. Looking good. Did you ever swap everything back over the the bnf and see if the lift issue was still present?

Mine flys great, my brothers was the messed up one from a tail short, he hasnt swaped anything back over to the BNF yet, but he is first going to try a new motor with the new board and tail since he didnt the first try. Both the BNF and his rakon'd one are doing the same thing now so we think the board toasted the motor in the BNF, I jsut dont get it. all thats left is the motor to try. so I dunno.

Mine was very similar and as soon as I added those landing skids, it had terrible flight times, with next to no lift. Took it off and all was well, and thats with 190 batteries.

Ya im happy with the skids on there, plenty of power and 5mins with a miniaviation 190, unless im at home then I just pull the canopy, but it sucks flying in my house, at work I have a showroom with 20ft cellings.

105ft is your altitude above sea level. He's in Colorado, his altitude is 7500 feet. The air is super thin thats part of his lift problem at his house.

Thats actually the only reason I want to go brushless, so I can mod it properly. If this mCPX purchase falls through I might just do it.

LOL! I got a good laugh at 8ft, I was just wondering If your altitude had any effect on your run time with your skids on there, what were your run times? |

I have mine the same way and I've seen people say it's backwards... how can it possibly make a difference?? PLUS, As far as I know it's the only way to put a half turn of manual servo travel in since the swash links are one way.

I think I just figured out the cause of the misconception... People read things like where I wrote "The servo linkages are one-way" or "You can only put the linkages on one way." And incorrectly assume we're talking about the way the linkage attaches to the servo instead of the way it attaches to the swash.
