Post polycarbonate "shamu" canopy pics

Just got an unpainted "shamu" canopy in the mail today. Thought I'd upload pics.

Its very lightweight and a bit more flexible than the stock fiberglass canopy. Weighs 32.8 grams including the protective plastic wrap that I haven't removed yet. Weird how the design is different on each side.

I'm considering spraying the inside with clear blue lens paint.

Really like the light weight. The design - I don´t know. While I can really appreciate that it isn´t one of the random airbrush designs and I also like the idea of a semi-painted canopy, these shapes simply do not speak to me.

A pity as I think polycarbonate is the perfect material for canopies, Light, robust and when painted from the inside an always perfectly glossy finish from the outside. Would love to have a totally blank one to have a go at one from scratch.

Thanks for showing though, never saw one in transparent.

Hmmm....I like it myself. I think polycarb will be more durable for a canopy.

Its a blue COB led lamp. So basically just a bunch of blue leds.

I do have a UV/blacklight flashlight here if you want to see it under UV.

Default polycarbonate "shamu" canopy pics

This is my fave canopy of them all. Not for the looks, but for the featherlight weight and extreme durability. FG canopies are far too heavy and the paint cracks even in normal use just from mounting and dismounting.
