Default MQX and DX7?

No, we did not find my original DX7, but Dad is letting me use his. So, I will be pairing my MQX with his DX7 and want to know, what is the best settings and mode for intermidiate flyer? I'm not really a beginner, but nor am I a pro.

Bind it in airplane mode and fly maybe a little expo to smooth out your hover corrections. I run my switches on my dx8 for letting someone else fly it at 36 on aileron, and elevator.

I would bind it in heli mode so you can enable and use throttle hold. Just set the swash to one servo, 90 degrees.

This thing is so easy to fly that if you're use to helis you probably won't need any expo as the board itself has 40% as the default.

Try it at full rates first and adjust from there.

Im going to be pairing the quad with my Dads DX7 today along with my MCPX and MSRX. I think I will pair it in airplane mode as I very rarely use TH anyhow.
The quad is already pretty nice with the TX it came with, I just want to see how much more capable it is with DX7. Plus, I just dont like the toy-like feel of the TX it came with.

Got it paired! Flies nicely in airplane mode. Will have to see how it handles outside.
Still think me needs to saves up for DX8 and have my OWN TX!

Tell me, how does someone fly a Trex 250, or any other CP heli, without using the TH on your transmitter ?? Am I just clumsy and relying on my TH too much ?

Well, I have the throttle hold set and I do use it when I crash. I just dont use it when I land.

Also note I said, "rarely".
