Tom
For the mw54 I rather doubt there are suitable alternatives due to the current drain on startup and weight is not really an issue. Do you have many hours on the turbine? I haven't bothered with kero. Bob |

I'm needing to replace my batteries on my Intrepid.. I'm going to go with Duralites again. I know they work, I know they fit and I got a lot of years out of them.

battery packs
Duralite batteries 5000mah 2S2P 6.6V Battery
Item: DUR 6504EXB-HC ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sanyo nimh heavy duty battery pack. two rows of 3 "C" cells HR-SCU Ni-MH HIGH DISCHARGE 7.2v 3000mAh $50.95 ea. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- integy-3300HV-battery-pack/ do a google search with review I have used the sanyo packs and they are extremely robust. I stay away from lithium for this application. The sanyo or integy batteries are far cheaper than duralite. I forgot that I switched over to Sanyo a few years ago. I also run a separate pack for the receiver and servos and a BEC from the starter battery as a second input to the jr 921 receiver that has a BU power input. I have found The sanyo RC-3300HV pack is sufficient for the mw54. hope this helps Bob |
