Sorry to hear that. There's always something that slows up the process. Hope you find a quick fix.
My package is sitting in Customs right now in New York. Hopefully they won't play with it for very long. The shipping time hasn't been as bad as I expected considering the time of year. |

I like the look of this! parts look awesome and the canopy looks cool. 99% sure I'm buying one but thinking about putting a Beastx on it, I have a couple of weeks to decide as I'm away on holiday so look forward to reading your build and flights.

To fit an Esc desently inside the nose you have to have either small Esc or ope up the
nose. I've ordered a metal battery plat from Tarot to create more room.

I simply removed the Walkera Receiver from its plastic case and used some hook and loop fastener strips to secure it to the bottom plate.

silly question
i saw this thread and i had to have one lol... this was my first purchase of 2012. i have a ar6210 that is overkill for one of my planes. would this receiver work with this heli ? Page three of trex450 pro v2 manual states you need a "receiver(7-channel or more) or remote receiver." sorry for the newb question i just wanted to be sure.

Update:
Ok between Sirolf suggestion about the metal battery mount and Steve Joblin suggestion about taking the WakeraPro 2801 receiver out of its plastic case -- I am back on track... I went ahead and ordered like $40 worth of Tarot aluminum parts that were available but did not come with the kit. So hopefully I will get that Trust ESC mounted when that comes in. I updated the 2nd post with some more info and I promise more pictures are coming as soon as I have something worth taking pics of....

Was thinking with Chinese new year coming up and the delays that causes I had better get my order, well ordered.
I was all keen for the Tarot V2 pro, Tarot motor/esc, adding some Hitec 5065MGs and a 5084 for servos and topping it off with a Beastx. Guess what, it works out $50 more then an Align pro 3GX combo, lol. Guess I had better rethink my options. Either the Tarot FBL system and chase a Beastx on eBay or just go FB. This was originally going to be a cheap FB build but the Tarot V2 looks so good!

My Tarot arrived yesterday afternoon. Interesting that the box was labeled "Shoes & Personal Items". I started the build today but... found that one of the threaded holes in the motor mount was trashed. Barely enough thread to hold the screw finger tight. So my build is on hold until I get a replacement motor mount. I emailed OOModel to see what they say / do but I already ordered a replacement part closer to home. It's only a $4 part so no big deal.
Other than that, the build is as expected. Everything else looks great so far. Dave, Clovis Ca. |

I think oomodel.com listed them first. Quite a few dealers have them now. Hobbywing. Hawkrc on ebay & several more.

I received my ZYX yesterday (have yet to start the Daunting process of installing) and I have to say I am very pleased with the Tarot Flybarless head there is no slop in the grips at all. The Tarot Flybared head I had was a little loose in that area. I am greatly looking forward to getting this up and flying just waiting for the programmer to show up to make life a little less confusing. Can't wait!!!!
P.S I love that the head comes with turnbuckle links now that's great. |

Well OOModel basically told me they package their stuff very well and they find it very unlikely that there is a defective part in the kit. So basically I'm on my own for replacing defective parts. Not that I'm surprised. I think that's the trade off when ordering an overseas clone vs purchasing something here in the states. As long as it's small stuff that's easy to replace, I'm fine with that. It's as I expected.

I am a little bummed. I ordered the super combo from oomodel. The $236.00 version. I received it today and I think the sent the wrong kit. There were no electronics in the kit. No gyro, esc, or servos. I just sent them an e-mail. Hopefully I get a better response than others.
I will post my results. Ryan. |
