Default upgrade esc

I have read somewhere that some esc have a governor that helps reduce the bobbing up and down when putting in collective inputs when hovering, is this true and if so can you recommend one as an upgrade..

Governors indeed try to maintain the same headspeed under all circumstances. Making for a much more stable heli, and smooth tail reaction.
Many ESCs have a governor mode, problem is the cheap ones will cause you more problems as before. BTW, a throttle curve like for example 100/95/90/95/100 tries to do the same thing manually, but can never be as good. On small helis a governor is also less important. Depends on your flying also, the harder you fly, the more useful the governor will be to you.
Back to the subject, I would avoid Align ESCs for governor mode, they are not that good for this use. Castle Creation and Scorpion have decent governer modes, and the mother of all governors can be found in the Kontronik product line. But you might wanna call your mother first to sponsor you a bit.
