Default Intermittent DS610/DS410

My 450 Pro is outfitted with DS410M's that came with the kit. My 600NSP just got a set of DS610's from my 700LE kit. Each set of servo's is about 2 months old with less that 40 flights.

Each heli has problems with the Aileron servo (right side swash servo). DX7 on the 450 and 7C FASST on the 600. The Aileron servo on each heli works intermittently. Whenever the servo feels like working it does.....when it doesn't wanna work it doesn't....kinda like me actually.

Flew a flight on my 450 last week and all was fine. Spooled up for the second flight (no preflight check) and the heli tipped over to the right just before takefoff...the ELE and PIT servo lifted the swash but the AIL servo wasn't responding. Found the servo working o.k. after I got home. Today I flew 2 flights on it and luckily found the servo not responding before the 3rd flight on the preflight control check. Now the servo is again working without a problem.

Rebuilt my 600 so I can put it up for sale using my barely used DS610's from my 700LE kit. Preflight checked out ok so I fired it up to set the tail gyro gain and headspeed. 2 minutes into the flight the heli wobbled (i thought it was the wind) then it began jittering so I auto'ed in. Found the AIL servo non-responsive. Now at home the servo is working fine. I removed the front and rear servo cases on this servo but can't find anything obvious.

The 410 on my 450 is getting replaced since I have a spare.

Anything in particular I should be looking at on the 610? I'd rather replace it....but if someone knows a good bit about servo's I'd like to hear if you have any ideas.

Thanks in advance,
Chuck
