Default Electric Conversion.. more stupid questions

OK.. I was viewing the Audcaitymodels.com site to see what kind of price I was looking at to get the electric converstion. I see that the conversion is listed in 2 stages and for 2 different shaft diameters.

Stage 1 - this appears to be the baseplate that the motor mounts to. an electronics tray (long), and a hub of some sort. Is that hub looking thing serving as a spacer for the fan hub or something? The 5mm or 6mm shaft versions I assume are to accommodate a 5mm or 6mm electric motor shaft right?

Stage 2 - another hub looking thing - I assume to mount the clutch to? What the heck is the cylinder looking object?

Sorry for being stupid, but I've never done electric.

No such thing as stupid question Chris, just people too stupid to anticipate the questions folks will ask . . . that would be me!

AUD1552-15 (stage I for 5 mm) . . . http://www.genesishobby.com/Products...5/Default.aspx
AUD1552-16 (stage I for 6 mm) . . . http://www.genesishobby.com/Products...6/Default.aspx

AUD1552-25 (stage II for 5 mm) . . . http://www.genesishobby.com/Products...5/Default.aspx
AUD1552-26 (stage II for 6 mm) . . . http://www.genesishobby.com/Products...6/Default.aspx

. . . as usual there is 'code' within the part number. AUD is obvious, 1552 is the XE conversion, and the -15 means stage 1 for 5 mm while -26 means it's the stage II for 6 mm motor shafts.

Anyway, with respect to stage II, the funky looking cylinder a standoff for mounting the motor to the motor plate. Finally, all this will be more clear when I finish working on the photos and descriptions of these parts. I was up late working on it and hope to continue over the course of the next few days (or until it's done). As usual, it will be wordy and full of pictures so hang in there pall, your patience will be rewarded.
