Hi Rasmus,
I doubt it would surprise you to learn I've sampled various manufacturer's packs over time (including Gens Ace) but no, those are not their packs. Anyway, I'm really not in the LiPo battery pack business despite offering some on the website. Huh? It's because I prefer high performance (75C) packs and am willing to pay for them. The thing is, few of my customers understand the difference between them and ordinary 30C packs so they tend to shop for the cheapest battery packs. Since I cannot reconcile the two (75C packs simply cost a lot more than ordinary 30C packs), I don't make much effort to market them (though I do have a handful of customers who realize I get them in and thus, wait and buy from me). If you're curious, look here: http://www.audacitymodels.com/search...earchText=pdrb Cheers,

wpscott won them.
I've sent him an email but haven't heard back as of yet. Whether he came from amongst us here on the 'freak, or from the other places, which ran the same advert, I haven't checked. Regarding multiple entries, there are no rules against it but we filter the list. Sure someone can game the system but we're not talking about a Power Ball drawing either. As for how we select the winner, basically we enter a lower bound (1), and an upper bound (the total number of entries for the month), then run a random number generator, which determine the winning entry, e.g. number 343. It's sophisticated enough for our purposes. Finally, while our goal is to generate email addresses for marketing, anyone who is an existing customer will validate what I say . . . we're not one of those companies, which clogs your inbox with endless emails. It's just not our style, which is something I like to believe our customers appreciate (not to say we never send emails, just that they're relatively rare). Thanks for asking!

Yeah, me too. I'll be disappointed if he sells them off instead of putting them into a model. This, by the way is why we quit supporting fun flies. I was at an event and had contributed a Pantera (we once gave about 20 models a year to club events). Anyway, after winning the club's raffle drawing, I was quite disappointed at seeing the guy who won it hawking it a few minutes later.
Worse, he was bad mouthing it (as if it were junk) and sold it to a guy I'd been talking to about a Pantera. How much did he sell it for? A lousy hundred bucks! Thus, not only was I out the cost of a model, but I lost out on a prospective sale (to the buyer). This ticked me off sufficiently I vowed never again to support clubs and their fun fly raffles with an expensive product. Moreover, as a direct consequence, I investigated what other companies were doing. Turns out the trend s toward coupon-prizes, e.g. where the winner gets some set % off of a purchase. Lots of folks are doing this for the same reason, e.g. because it's the only way to ensure what we put up for the raffle has value to somebody who actually wants our product. This, versus someone who doesn't appreciate what we make and in turn ends up hurting our brand. Live and learn, eh?

Well lets hope for the best. My 550 has some cheapo servos in her, so this would have been a blessing to win the set. All you can do is hope he actually uses them and supports your products. I know I will be taking a much deeper look at your products after the holidays. Happy Holidays to you and your family. Wish you all the best!

It's not too late to enter for December, folks. Same deal, click on the link and follow the instructions. Entering more than one each month is a waste of time because the list is filtered for whether the entry comes from here, Flying Giants, or the Model Airplane News Heli newsletter. The filters are run for date, time, name, IP address as well as email address, etc. because while as I've alluded this isn't the Irish Sweepstakes, or Powerball, we do seek fairness. However, most of all we seek valid results because the purpose isn't just to harvest email addresses for marketing but really to help me identify which websites actually work best, e.g. are worth more of my money.
As you guys know, I run a tight ship, which means my margins are very low (business speak for we have good prices). The direct implication is I cannot afford to waste money advertising on websites, which are less effective. Especially because they all tend to cost roughly the same. Thing is some are just better at spreading the word than others. This giveaway is the only way I know to measure because the figures the sites provide don't seem rooted in reality, vary widely, and/or have no correlation with effectiveness. Thus, I no longer believe the figures they provide and this is my crude way of measuring effectiveness because one thing I can count on is human nature, e.g. we all like free stuff. Anyway, if you elect to find the advert here through which to enter the giveaway, the banner adverts appears at either the top, or the bottom of the webpage. These change each time you visit a new webpage. However, getting the adverts to change before you go to a new page is easy, just hit the F5 key on your keyboard, which will force a refresh. Also note, if you do it more than 3 or 4 times the website seems to hang so wait a few seconds between attempts. Since we're running two adverts, one for the giveaway and the other for a 3+1 brushless servo combo, you may have to do it a few times before the giveaway banner appears. If you do this with a page with many responses, you'll have to scroll to the bottom and back to the top to see the results after you refresh but if you do it with a thread with no responses, you can see both top and bottom banner advert at the same time. I suggest you use this thread because it has no responses: https://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=584236 Anyway, this brings me to another thing. Lynn tells me the adverts aren't as random as the site owners suggest. She's a smart gal but I'm left wondering, why would the site owners have any bias? This doesn't make sense and thus, I'd appreciate a favor. If you elect to find the adverts via the F5-key refresh method versus just waiting for the advert to appear on their own as you surf around this website, please write down which advertisers appear (top and bottom) each time and share the results with me privately. You all know how to contact me by email, but here it is for convenience: info AT genesishobby DOT com (I hate web robots harvesting email addresses) Anyway, if the adverts appear as randomly as claimed, or if some advertiser's adverts appear with much greater frequently than ours, with the help of you folks sharing results I can more quickly learn what's what and proceed accordingly. There's one thing though, I do NOT want to conduct this discussion further in public so please just share your results with me quietly because my aim is knowledge through which to better run my business instead of hurting anybody, capisce? Many thanks in advance!

audacity servos
I gotta say I've seen your 3+1 ad many times, but never the giveaway ad, and I purposely tried to see it today with no luck over several hours of hitting refresh.

Finally saw the giveaway add on the bottom of this thread.
https://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=438285 And now, just now, it's on the bottom of this thread as I am writing this One small issue is that clicking the add takes me to the November giveaway page... should that link be updated?

same hear
I tried to enter the giveaway but each time I do it takes me to a error page.
I contacted audacity and got an email that was a bit rude....assuming I did something wrong. And now I see a lot of you have had issues. If they can't get the site right then maybe there servos are not right for me. They acted like I wanted something for nothing and was a bit belittling. I'll try one more time.and then I'll say b### s####. |

still no
Doesn't work for me.maybe they are advertising and not giving anything away.
I ask them to sign me up.they refused. They said there servos are whole sale to every one...like I was buying. I thought I was signing up for a free servo. Has anyone used these that ain't affiliated with audacity. |

the only people affiliated with audacity are John and his Wife.
It's a contest where you are asked to click the link to enter. Notice the requirement. Expecting anyone running a contest to change the rules for just you is a bit much to ask. Why don't you try and figure out how to fix the error you're getting? It's working for most of us already. I use Chrome and IE. What browser are you using ? what add-ins do you have? what blockers..etc are you using??
