Default Power Line Maintenance Heliwork

After seeing the recent thread on helicopter tree trimming near power lines I thought I'd share this video. Probably been shown before, but still pretty cool.

Can you just imagine the first time this idea was pitched to the big boss at the power company?

... now let me get this straight, you want to transport a guy on the outside of a helicopter and drop him off ON the main line so he walk around? ... and he is going to have to wear a metal suit?... (*thinking*... that's suicide... Hmmm... been tring to get rid of Bob for a while...)

BOB! I've got a new job for you!...
