In my searches I ran across this battery and charger setup.

I think I am going to get this and use it as my "setup" battery since that seems to be the big energy drainer. :idea: This way I'll use the Sony battery when I fly and take this along "just in case". :glasses2: Shouldn't have any "warranty" problems using it like this. :wink:

Do yourself a favor and make sure it's a genuine Sony battery. If that price is for the charger alone, go to ebay. it's much cheaper.

Actually, this is the price for a battery and charger. The battery has an advertised capacity of 2300mAh. I figured this would be fine to use for only programming the TX.

I wouldn't use anything but a genuine Sony NP-F570. Buy.com has the battery for $40-$45. I haven't seen the need for a second charger.

Best deal of all is to get the 14MZ carrier board from Fromeco with the new 2600 maH Relions for $39 (or the 2400 board combo for $32). Get additional Relion packs for just for just $29. Can't beat the price or flexibility of the arrangement (no matter what some folks think).
