Default FBL conversion for an old-style 600e

I've been flying an old-style 600e for quite a while now, and I'd like to upgrade it to FBL, but with electronics other than the 3GX.

It looks like GrandRC sells the FBL upgrade kit stripped of electronics:

Is this kit all I need? I thought I might need a shorter main shaft; am I wrong?

Hmm, I think I figured this out. The shorter shaft is optional, requires shorter links:

If you have the 3rd bearing block you'll need the stock or nitro shaft.

I've been flying my 600esp with the 3g system and i'm liking it a lot so far the heli seems to fly better now than with a flybar.

When you say old style are you including the older 600's from 3-4 years ago? I have a 500 Hughes with 600 mechanicals and would like to try the 7200bx with a flybarless head, I would want to stay with the original shaft to keep the height above the Hughes body. 3-D is not part of the flight regime with the Hughes.
