Default Help! I'm rudderless and can't get it straight, sorta

Ok I have searched and watched and and and... I have a align 550e FBL and a microbeast system. Tail wags a bit and I wanted to trim it out. All the beast info says it's in the radio, ok where? It shows blues light on power up (heading Lock) and I think it's wagging cause it's to high... where on a DX8 do I find this.... just tail rotor, no cyclic issues.... am I blind or is it buried?

Ok I think I found part in the beastx setup and the other part in the endpoint radio setup, gawd I hope I don't wipe this out, or maybe I'll just put up with a little tail wag... it does it only in good stiff winds anyway... Lol

You probably need to adjust the gain on the gyro channel on the DX8, rather than any endpoints. Power up your radio and scroll through your settings. There should be one that says "Gyro". Go into that screen and see what the Gyro gain is.

The endpoint adjustment of channel 5 should be your rudder gyro gain!

Assign what ever switch you like Channel 5
Set the Gyro on the Rate mode side. Switch down position 10% gain.
Then fallowing must be accomplished No Rudder trim. No Rudder sub trim.

90 the servo as described in the manual.
Now adjust servo tray slider so the tail control arm is 90 to the boom!
Tighten servo tray slider unit.

* When you 90 the tail control arm as described above it automatically puts 3 deg of positive pitch on the tail rotor * We want that! I know the slider is not centered.

Adjust the servo endpoints. Pop the push rod link off your rudder servo.
Pull the slider rod all the way ahead.
Hold full RIGHT rudder and adjust the gyro endpoint so the link centers on the ball.

Push the slider rod all the way back and hold full left Rudder.
Adjust the gyro endpoint so the link centers on the ball, release rudder and snap the link back on the ball.

Now set your Rate mode side of the gyro switch 45%

Set your Rudder DR 100 Expo +75 so you have a soft feel.
Check that Both the rudder stick input and the gyro correct direction are working correctly!

ZERO WIND CONDITIONS or nose into a very light breeze only.
Spool up and lift it light on it's skids. If it holds lift off.
You may need to give it a little rudder input set it down.

Snap the ball link off and adjust the link in or out one turn as needed.
Nose drift right adjust 1 turn counter clockwise.
Spool up and lift it light on it's skids. If it holds lift off.
You may need to give it a little rudder input set it down.

1 maybe 2 turns ether way and you should be able to lift off and the tail will hold.

Reset Tail Dr 100 No Expo.
Set your Rate switch, up position and set your Heading hold mode
gyro gain. Start 60 adjust up in 2s until the tail wags very slightly.
Back the gain off until no more wag.

The tail will now be rock solid no matter what you do!
