Default 600EFL PRO - What's the biggest, most powerful motor possible?

I have a Trex 600EFL PRO (the latest version) and I want more power. The problem is that there is VERY little clearance between the stock 600MX motor and the pitch/aileron servos. What is the biggest, most powerful motor that I can put in this heli? Or is the 600MX about as big and powerful as I can stuff in there? Any suggestions are MUCH appreciated. Thank you.

KDE has a drop in replacement motor that's got a bit more power than stock. That would be your best bet. Not exactly sure of the model, but you can look it up here in search probably.

Is it only a BIT more power? Or is it ALOT more power? If it's only a negligible amount of power increase, is it really worth it? What's your opinion?

A friend of mine recently stripped the mod 1 gears in his logo with one of the new HKIII motors from Scorpion. Those things have pretty big power.

They have a very noticeable amount of power over stock. I can bog my stock motor down pretty low, but with the KDE motor (on a friends helicopter - all other electronics are the same, including batteries) it was much harder to bog. The climb rate was noticeably faster. Fight time seemed only a little less than stock, but we didn't time it, so I can't give you exact details.

Which Scorpion HKIII will fit in this? And I'm guessing I have to shim the pitch/aileron servos...so how would you go about doing that? With just washers?

The HKIII that many folks have popped in is the 4035 in the 500KV range for 12s. You have to shim the servos on their rear aft holes to increase their tilt in order to fully clear the scorpion motor can.

I will admit...the KDE motor being a direct fit I was a bit apprehensive that it wouldn't be much better than the stock align except build quality.

Well....the heli went from really fast, to obnoxiously overpowered now. 2200rpm and 13.5 collective pitch and the thing is moving at 90+ in a matter of seconds.

You're hard pressed at all to bog this thing provided you have decent packs.

I'd say it's worth it with the scorp and KDE being about the same price.
