Nope haven't seen that and even when I do it won't matter as I won't use them. I know there are ppl that have had good luck and some that haven't. My helis and airplanes are worth enough to me that I don't skimp on the reciever. Just my opinion

I remember paying $200 for Futaba 9 channel 129 RX's. The 2048 receivers were over $300 !

If you consider inflation since then, a JR DMSS RX for $90 is dirt cheap. All of the original receivers with separate telemetry module are now discontinued. JR Americas should sell them at a discount if there are any left.

Yeah the JR DMSS Rx prices are reasonable and well worth it. I don't have any "throw away" models that I fly with my XG14E so there's no point in buying cheaper Orange clones to mount them in. Also safety/reliability/compatibility is at the top of my list when installing in airframes that cost over $1500 each and could lop off a person's head if something were to go wrong. The only model that I may use a Orange Rx in is a small cheap quad.

He should've compared the Orange to the 812 which has telemetry integrated internally and also costs less than the 831.

I got the Orange to put in floats for rudder. Figured no telemetry was a plus. They would bind to an XG8 but not the 28X. DMSS must be more complex than Corona/HobbyKing thought.
