Default Initialization

When I turn on my remote and plug in my heli's battery it goes through a binding/initialazation. When it does this should the servo's be at their mid-stroke (50%)? I ask this because I want to make sure everything is set-up correctly on my V120D01. She is grounded until I get the o-rings for the blade holder and want to try and head off other issues.

Thanks for any help or guidance!

No, unless your throttle/pitch is at mid-stick. Also, it depends on what your pitch curve is. A linear pitch curve should give you 0 pitch at mid-stick. (0-25-50-75-1000)

I am a noob, but the heli seems to take off in whatever direction it pleases. The swash plate is centered upon start up but it isn't returning to center fully when I release the right stick. I feel so confused! Should it recenter fully?

Should I be able to hold a hover with throttle input alone?

You do have to fly it. You will just have to add alittle correction. This is how CP's fly. The more fly the more you will add less correction. Maybe you are not use to flying a real heli but it takes time to fly CP's plus you might be over correcting.
