phoenix 10 set rpm governor with spin 8000 important update

Hi everyone. I had posted in another thread that I was using 8khz pwm and low timing in the phoenix 10 software. Well I have discovered that the governor will loose its lock at the 8khz pwm setting every now and then(loosing its commutation hook up). Going to the default 12khz pwm seems to have fixed this. I have run it many, many times now at 12khz and it is locking on just fine. I did not see a temperature increase so I went to the defult normal timing setting also. Motor seems to run just a little stronger on normal timing and again no appreciable difference in temperature.
This set up is not running hot and I think the reason is that my main gear mesh is not tight. I use a thin piece of plain white copy paper and run it thru the gears then set motor pinion tight agains the main with the paper all folded into the teeth, then just spin out the paper by hand. This leaves what I think is the perfect amount of play in the pinion to main gear
