Default Whats up From Madison, WI

Hey guys, New to the heli scene, been flying planes for quite a while and am pretty good at it, although there is always more to learn. Made the transition to helis about a year ago and have progressed very quickly. Now its time to join a forum so i can learn more. I am currently sporting a blade 450 3D which i am very comfortable with. my next step is most likely a 600 size nitro, I've been looking at the aligns. (another friend in the area got me hooked on the sound, bigness ,awesomeness, AND pain in the ass(ness) of nitro.) hopping for a few suggestions of models to look at. the nitro field is new to me as far as helis go, I want flat out 3D performance. thanks!

Welcome to the forum Rob. I'm not a nitro guy so can't help you much on your decisions but someone else probably will. Or just ask in the main forum. Also you might find a few 600 models you might be interested in and start reading the specific forums to get an idea of how happy people are with their choices, known issues, etc.

Default I cant help you... but I am from Madison!

Hey Rob,

I'm new to Helis. Did a bit of RC planes and cars 20 years ago in my early teens... but just got bit by the helicopter bug. After a month with the sim an an mSR, it's time for a 450.

Where the hell do people fly around here? I'd love to meet some folks in the area for help and inspiration.

If you would ever be willing to lend some setup help to a newcomer, I'd be very appreciative!

Send me a PM if you feel like it

See ya,

Tim~
