Default NEW - Review KBDD MCPx Blades

Hey folks... I got to try the new KBDD MCPx blades last weekend and thought I would share my views about them.

It's what I am flying now for sure after getting use to them. The MCPx is a unique heli in many ways. I will say some might not like them and some will. It's like the stock bullet blades vs the stock 3D blades argument. Fly what you like but for sure I say to give these a try and not more than one or 2 flights. When I "tuned" to these and went back to stock 3D blades... I am not going back. FYI so you know I preferred before getting these the 3D blades over the bullet blades. Just so you know.

Anyway on with my video review!

VIDEO -> Review of KBDD's New MCPx Main Blades (71 Megs)

I'm not going to watch this video out of fear that I'll want to buy an mCPX afterward.

KBDD announced in the MCPx forum that they had some blades go out that had a balance problem. They are replacing them so if you have a set contact them.

Thanks Bob,

I noticed with mine it felt like I had taken some expo away, a lot more responsive, but after 2 flights I have recalibrated to the new feel, I'll never go back and they are cheaper in the uk than stock blades !!

You should replace it anyway. I just put a Micro Heli swash on today and it took a majority of the slop out of the head. Now we just need stiffer dampers.

The aluminum swash works great, I know after breaking 4 or 5 of the stock swashes (always the elevator ball snapping off).

The only shaking problems I had was when the servo contacts were dirty.

Hate to hijack the thread, but i have to ask please: when you add the extended boom, do you clock the tail motor exactly perpendicular to the main shaft? When I pyro to the right, heli stays in one spot, however to the left, I get a bad drift, like a one foot circle. Really hard to pyro flip with left rudder. Tried to do a complete rebind and setup, no help.

I have been making it perpendicular. However even with the solid boom, you will notice the tail boom will twist slightly when applying full rudder. I few guys I know can do piro flips with the MCPx but I cannot so I have not noticed this.

Default Is everthing Stock except the Tail and new blades

I just got mine this weekend. have not done much with it yet but was impressed with it out of the box. A little weak in power. Just flown it in the house so far. I can hear the motor bog when doing pitch pumps. Piro is also a little slow. But all in all great little machine.

So is yours stock in the video except for the new blades and tail mod??

Great flying by the way.
