Default Acceptable Response Time?

What do you all reckon is an acceptable response time from either a hobby shop or a manufacturer?

I emailed both Compass (Hong Kong) and A Main Hobbies on the weekend in regards to my seized one-way bearing and scored sleeve. It's been nearly 2 full business days, and I haven't even gotten so much as an acknowledgement.

E-Flite and Novus (HeliMax) have both responded within 24 hours of me sending an email (actually 12 hours or less would be more accurate).

I'll be honest, I'm a bit concerned ... at a very minimum, I acknowledge my emails within 24 hours to let the other person know that their email has been recieved and an answer will follow.

There is still time left in the day I suppose, and hope that a response from either will follow shortly.

I will send a follow up this evening if I haven't heard back.

Thankfully, I'm not stuck waiting for them as I have ordered the parts I need from various places (no one had everything I needed in stock) that were defective (one-way bearing and auto-rotation sleeve).

It's possible that the messages got trapped by spam filters. I'd suggest following up with a phone call to A Main at least.

Took everyone's advice ...

Just spoke with a really helpful young lady (Elise) at A Main. She is sending me a new auto-rotation hub w/bearing (they were out of stock on the bearing itself) and auto-rotation sleeve.

I think I've become entirely too dependent on electronic communications.

I used to talk to my wife - now we only text each other or send occasional emails.

Totally saved our marriage.

Happy flyin',

Brad
