I think nexgen did a video of a 200 FBL with no gyro. Or maybe it had just a tail gyro.
Don't remember. Getting to the FBL point regardless of stabilization is half the battle. And if you don't like it you can add a beastx or something. I think I'm gonna try an HK Turnigy FBL unit at some point. Turnigy seems to do some pretty good electronics. The docs will be mighty thin I'm sure but I can deal with that.

Yup, way to go. 'NOBAR' takes cajones on this small bird. Now you gotta get her outside for some fff, that's a whole other ball game, hehe.

yup, gotta make your right hand act like the flybar and make all the corrections, it is fun, but ALOT of work to make the heli fly well.

Actually and call bull shit if you'd like till I get another vid with a camera not a phone. It hovers......hands off it is incredibly stable I was shocked now when your ready to go hold on tight cause this rocket don't have a rear view mirror it just straight up gooooeeesss haha I have yet to start 3din this way just nose in hover a lot today plus I went and built a fes for a buddy of mine and I'm having nightmares getting that thing set up. I finally quit and we went outside and flew a while. Btw this thing handles wind extremely well! But I'll post some pics of the setup in a bit I'm trying to decide if I should dremel the head and make it more of a true flybarless head or if I do that will it throw off the weight possibly giving vibrations because this thing makes glass look rough as of now.

thinkin of cutting the head flush at the bottom of where the flybar used to sit and tap it for the head button then if youll notice on my main shaft the swash collar i was going to cut off the end that used to attach to the flybar leaving just the ends that would attach to the swash and the bearing that screws into the hub. pardon the covering coming off of the blades i need to snip that and ca the ends also my little kodak easy share c613 didnt do half bad!!

shouldn't the links that go from the swash to the blade grips be vertical with the main shaft, and not tilted? won't this cause a phasing issue?

That's what imthinkin but I'm all about precision and cutting exact amounts so Iv gotta measure a couple times before I cut and (order a FBI head for backup possibly)

I think the fact that the v2 heads feathering shaft plus the extra hard dampers allow the head to feel more solid. Vs the solid fes block

The trex 450 tail/head mod makes for a super rigid head setup that is VERY durable, and also allows the head to be lower than stock.
Trex 450 tail to Gaui 200 fes head V2 (vid added) regarding the delta issue, this simple mod for me made the stock head, and the trex 450 head mod have 0 delta: I am currently using this head, it is spindle, and firm dampened, and it has the delta issue resolved all in one elegant looking head, my fave so far: HURRICANE 200 FES NEW 2 BLADE HEAD (3 X 83.5MM-TITANIUM ANODIZED) G-203698 $57.50

I still think both budget wise and stability trimming the stock v2 will give the little dampening I need wil being free since I already have it. That looks awesome btw. The 450 tail just sits to low for my liking. While being purely cosmetic for all I know it could fly fine

you have a good point, I did that with a stock head, and it flew great, heres my feeble attempt at trimming the fat from the top (on the right). I dont have a dremel so just tore it off with some pliers and never cleaned it up, lol
