Default NEW - Four Axis Mod1 Maingear install and setup video - No longer in production

OK I had done a review of Miro's Four Axis Design main gear and you can find that here:

https://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=144263

Miro sent me the updated kit which now includes an Alignment tool and a new bearing block that is adjustable. This helps get your pinion mesh perfect and reduces noise that a mod 1 gear can make.

Here is a install and setup video.

Enjoy,
Bob

So with the adjustable motor mount, I'm assuming you have to slot the carbon bottom plate screw holes to allow it to fit correctly on the adjusted mount?

either that, or just leave those screws out and use the other 4 used to put the landing gear on.

Yes I slotted the screw holes for the bottom plate. It wasnt that far off and was no problem.

Hello,

You actually don't have to slot the bottom frame plate holes. We include 6 bolts with washers with the engine adjustable brackets, so you can use 2 on the bottom plate.

Thanks,
Miro

Is anyone else having this problem with there main gear? See pics below, as you can see the gear is wearing out on the top, almost like its flexing under loads...

I already broke it down and there is nothing that I can see that causing the problem.

Look at the inside of your canopy - its probably rubbing on the gear. My (Align) -1 gear looks the same as yours after I put on a Canomod Striker canopy. I shaved part of the fiberglass from the back and now it (mostly) clears the gears.

I'm still running the same gear. I think its probably a little weaker, but I'm running it anyway.

HTH,
-Drew

Yes it looks to me like it's the canopy as well. There is no reason for it to wear like that except the canopy.

They are no longer in business best alternative is a KDE main gear and Align clutch pinion as for adjustable motor mount and clutch block the G-Force one works nice.Yogi
