Default DX8 G2 case ergonomics?

Does the DX8 Gen 2 share a case with the DX9 or DX6? I owned a G1 DX6 and it was a brick! I sold it and purchased a DX9. The case on the 8 looks similar to the 9, but is it?

The DX8 G2 is the same case as the DX6 G2/G3 and DX7 G2.

The DX9 is more like the original DX8 and DX7s.

The pictures of all of the active air transmitters together are a bit deceiving because they show the DX9 Black Edition.

I find the dx8g2 much more comfortable than my dx6i. I rely on my neck strap to hold the radio because I pinch. So i don't really feel the weight, but i would say it's heavier by feel than my dx6i

I have small hands and use only my thumbs. I couldn't get full throw on the sticks with my DX6 (G1.) I could with a DX6i though. Wearing a neck strap helped on the DX6 however, it still felt awkward.
