Default Phoenix Update Download

Is anyone else having problems downloading the updates? I have 2.5f, and have tried updating both through the autoupdater, and by downloading it, and it seems like I keep getting booted from the download server. The autoupdater progress bar moves roughly 1/4 of the way and just freezes, and when I try to download diirectly from their website, I either cant connect at all, or the download only runs about 15 seconds and I receive a message saying I lost connection. I can download other files from other sites just fine, have tried downloading through IE, firefox, and on two different computers using XP and Vista, and get the same results every time.

It seems like a serverside issue, but I was curious if others were running into the same problem.

Hi,
You will need to download 2.5.K from the downloads page: http://phoenix-sim.com/downloads.htm

After that, the updates should be all done within the software.

Or is downloading 2.5.K the problem you're having?
Cheers,
Rob

Hi,

I am having the same issues like you. I tried to download the 2.5m first and now downloading the 2.5k. It keeps disconnecting after 15 sec or so of downloading. What i did is i installed a downloading software that auto connects after few seconds. I did finish downloading the 2.5 leaving it over night to finish. Now i am downloading the 2.5k the same way.

thanks,
Ryan

Downloading 2.5k is the issue i'm having. Whether I use the "Check for updates" feature of Phoenix itself, or I try downloading 2.5k from phoenix-sim.com, I wind up getting disconnected from their server after 15-20 seconds.

*UPDATE*
It looks like it must just be an issue with the phoenix servers. I can get the downloads to run today, the d/l speed just fluctuates badly. Maybe they are doing server maintenance or something.

Mine keeps running, but for some reason it's dead slow, both from the update services as from the Phoenix website, don't have that problem on other downloads..

I have the same problem and emailed to support phoenix sim.

I've just received their answer:

Dear Sir

We are currently experiencing some technical difficulties with our download servers which we are working hard to find a solution for.

In the meantime you may experience slow transfer rates, incomplete transfers, or your transfer may time out before completing.

Please wait up to 48 hours for these issues to be fixed, and then try your download again.

We apologise for this very rare inconvenience and hope to have normal service restored very soon.

Best Regards

Phoenix Support
