Torq servo smoothness?
I have a brand new 9188 tail servo, running it @ 8.4V, when i move without power it is glass smooth and super nice, but with power it feels quite "rocky" and "ratchety", and you can hear it audibly.
Is this typical? |

Never mind... i found my answer in the VBar forum.
It appears to be normal behavior when using the VBar. |

What about the VBar makes the servo act like that?

Hi folks,
I have the same problem... Without power the servo moves smooth and soft, when the power is on, it moves "rocky"! Someone found the solution? Or I don't need to worry about? Thanks.

Ok I have a brand new 9180 cyclic servo and with out any power to it, it is really hard to move by hand. With power applied it appears to be normal.

I was just having this same issue. I'm assuming I shouldn't worry. Its so loud and so rocky. Does it still perform well?

Re: Torq servo smoothness?
Mine is pretty noisy, when the heli initializes I hear all kind of racket from the tail servo, figure the sound is just resonating threw the helicopter somehow, been flying it for about a year no issues. My friend had one that did the same but it eventually quieted down he said...
