Years later, you can still find parts for even the old concept helicopters if you look around.

Only time will tell.

it means that they stopped making parts a week ago. whatever they made will be sold, and when those are gone, they are gone for good. no parts will be available after those are gone.

When I spoke with Jeff Miller on Tuesday he was beginning to bag up for retail sale the remaining parts, after the 28th check with HeliProz and Ron Lund as they'll receive the remaining unsold parts. Till the 28th MA is open and fulfilling orders that they can. Also don't forget your LHS if they are a MA dealer, I know my LHS has some main gears in stock and other smaller bits.

Ron Lund has the most MA parts I have ever seen in one place. I was amazed when I saw the MA isle. I would call Ron if you are thinking about a MA Machine to see what parts he has. He is also a guy who could tell you what parts you need to have on hand. I am very sad MA is out, but I am definitely a fan of their machines.

Default Big Sky CNC?

So what's the story with Big Sky CNC, are they closing as well or might they still make MA parts?

I don't know enough about them or the relationship with MA but if they're a separate entity and they do make other brand parts, so that's the logical question in my mind.

The thing about MA, to me, and this could be a very naive view, but if niche brands like Kasama, Henseleit, Minicopter, etc. can keep operating why can't MA continue in a similarly low-key way. No doubt there is something of a loyal following out there.

I don't know the secret of Henseleit and Minicopter and brands like that, maybe they don't actually have to make money and are the result of one person's passion rather than a business that supports employees etc.

As I say, I'm just thinking out loud here.

In chatting with Jeff from MA I was told that Big Sky CNC is closing as well. All their machining centers will be up for sale.

Yep same response from Jeff.
Big Sky CNC, HeliWholesaler, and Miniature Aircraft USA are all closing on the 28th.

Owner of the CNC shop, MA & my LHS are the same person. All 3 are now closed. Is Heliproz (same owner) next? Sure hope MA continues in some way. Lets hope the staff at the closed business's find work close to home.
