Used it with direct link to the SBUS telemetry - no better or worse than any other GPS of the non-Doppler ilk. The Robbe version is the same but a lot cheaper

John,
Were you satisfied with the results? Was it accurate at all for speed?

Not really - gave very wide fluctuating results - OK as a sort of guide but all this type of GPS sensor are limited by accuracy of position fix. A much better option is to go with the Powerbox GPS II which uses a Doppler GPS and seems to give much more consistent and credible results ...I believe it can be hooked up to SBUS2 as well for telemetry - Justin Puchi has been using one and seems very happy with it !

One of the guys at the club had some weird readings, he seemed to think sometimes the blade affects it as it was on top of the boom?

Won't work behind CF but will under FG. Blades could easily affect it, some guy mounted the sensor on the tail and got more consistent results!

Problem with mounting it way out on the tail is it detects pirouttes as position changes and hence even more false readings. Did exactly this with the SM Modelbau unit and just hovered and did pirouttes and got over 200kmh speed readings???

Well i can understand that...put the device on the tail and spin her around and around full tail input id also get 200km/h. Straight line flying, I think and believe its very accurate. Oliver also confirmed that to me.... If i'm you, mount the unit on the tail, no blade interference
