I think it has to compete with this

Would be nice if it's close to same price. But in reality, If you pay Volkswagen prices, should you be expecting Ferrari results?

No, but protos helis are close to the price point of Align helis. So in my opinion its like buying a Ferrari for a volkswagon price. If they do the same with the 700 I think they will do very well in the big heli market. I think a moderately built one with no bats will run around $1500-$1700. Now if I can just convince them to give me one for a "rook builds a Protos 700" thread to show the ease of assembly and manual updates.

Example, why buy this when you can get a protos 500?

but, I am new to helis.

I would like to know what batteries and servos I should look at? Really hopin there will be kit with motor and ESC. Will hold off a lil on batteries because don want them to sit unused for 6mos etc

I'm no Align fan at all (not hating them either) but that is a very nice package! I fell out of love with my first Align experience and I know they've come such a very long way since then. The Protos is my Porsche and I enjoy it immensely! I'm saving the a 700 myself and I can't say cost is not an issue but ...

I'm sure there will be a motor, ESC, blade kit. I bet they make kits with the BRAIN as well.

I'm sorry my friend, but that's not the case at all.

A P500 nicely equipped will not be below 1000$.

Align 500 are about 750$.

It surprises me that we have not seen a good picture of the 700 besides the video. Specially now that MSH has completed their final revision? This was not the case of the Protos 500, we saw CAD designs of it way before it was even manufactured. Come on MSH show us , gratsi!

but after you replace all the bits on the align with after-market versions that actually work properly you end up at the same price .
