Default E5 tail transmission - 2 questions

I did not totally dissasemble the tail transmission. I took the side plates off so that I could loctite the side post studs and screws but that was it. I just realised I did not loctite the set screw.

Do I need to pull the transmission and go through it more thouroughly?

Also the slots in the frame for the transmission position adjustment only provide about 25 thousands of horizontal movement. With the transmission fully forward the lash between the main spur gear and the transmission spur gear is more than a tiny bit. I would not say its excessive but its border line in my (extremely limited experience) opinion. In Chris's video I could see him shifting the tranny position. In my frame it does not move noticeably. The slots are not even visible as slots but holes.

If I do have to pull the tranny should I take the time to lengthen the slots another 40 thousands or so?

You definitely need to loctite the set screw. As for the rest its pretty straight forward. If you got the studs you should be ok. But better safe than sorry.

As for the transmission mesh on the auto spur gear. If it isnt excessive you are good. The holes are only elongated .652mm its barely noticeable.
