just got the ice 50 and its way to big to fit under the 450 pro battery tray. they added some kind of plastic bezel to it and when removed the heat sink falls off the fets. i'm going to try the kde battery tray to keep it inside |

Sorry if I gave the impression that I fit the YGE 40A underthe battery tray. I did not. However, it's tucked relatively safely under the canopy.

ice 50 inside battery tray. i removed the plastic bezel and secured the heatsink with heat shrink tube. this gave me enough room to fit it; it's really tight though. i also removed the front part of the battery tray (similar to kde setup) also can anyone tell me if the Gens Ace 1200mah 6s1p battery will fit under the 450 Pro canopy without modding? |

I got the ICE 50 to fit under one of those metal trays like the KDE except I used a cheaper tarot 450 one. I've seen other people mount it on the back (if you are tail-mounting your servo). The ICE 50 lite is probably much easier to fit.The heat sink is not really necessary for this setup.

Dude get an 11T pinion when using the helical gear with the 2010, unless you plan on governing 3700+

Yes, the Gens Ace 1200 6s fits under the canopy without any problem. I was also able to move it forwards a little bit to get my CG perfect. This battery is also smaller and lighter than the 3s lipos (Outrage 2200) was using.

witch 2221-2010v2 should i use?? there two on the helidirect site?
http://helidirect.com/scorpion-hk-22...v2-p-24357.hdx http://helidirect.com/scorpion-hk-22...325-p-7949.hdx one is the 2010kv motor the other puts out 3000 kv witch one will be better. im hopeing to get more flight time but the bogging is what i wanna get rid of the most and hopefully getta little more of a "hanging" feel in areobatics. i good setup will be a great piece of advise

Here is a friend of mine flying my 6s 450. The heli remained very strong until about 3 seconds before it hit the soft cutoff on the ESC at the 3 minute mark. This was a pretty hard flight #1 for that GensAce 1200 6s battery

@Jmackey,
I just converted all my homemade 6s 1300 packs to these GA 1200 packs and I'm a bit disappointed. Yes I can now fly w/ my canopy, but I can only get 4m if I take it easy. My 1300s may have weighed 50g heavier, but they came down at 3.78V after 4.5m of hard flying and much cooler to boot. |

I have a quick question about 6s setup... if i have it setup for 6s and i put a 3s battery... will it work ?
I've never done anything outside of stock setups and recommended batteries for stock setups and I'm thinking of going 6s with the 2221-2010 and ice50 but i have a few good 3s batts and was woundering if i can use them or do i have to go on the ice and tell it i'm using 3s instead of 6s... how does it work ? |

The 2221-2010 is a 2010kV motor, which means that it spins 2010 RPM's per volt supplied.

You can mount bigger battery at the bottom. To get the heli to balance, just adjust the battery positions. With 2 of the 2200mAH 3s batteries, you can mount one at the front and one at the bottom and still balance really well. I've done it that way before I got my 6s batteries.
