"This lightweight camera is capable of software-enhanced 720p resolution video recording "
1.3 megapixel stills and software upconverted video aren't going to look great... what is the real native resolution of the video?

In a nut shell it is a key chain video camera-- THEY are not bad to be honest, they are not super high end no.. BUT they do great for You tube type videos to be honest.
In essence the 720HD enhanced is what You tube does anyway if it can with videos as long as the quality is decent enough. MOST people do not use any video service past You tube anyway. SURE there is others and tons of people will want more but in the end you can get what you pay for.

Looks really cool and I think it will definitely fill a good niche but it's not something that I think fits into my fleet. I would have preferred a brushless version with the camera being optional.

There is also a BNF version for $149.99. I would love to see video of how this flies! Very exciting!

Video looks zoomed in with a narrow FOV and very low quailty, certainly not the 720p advertised.
Airframe should be good though.

I was just coming here to say we need a new forum for this one.
I wonder if we remove the OK camera and put on a Mobius or 808 if it could handle the extra weight... the quality and angle of view from the included camera seems a little low. along the lines of the cam that came with my Helimax 1SQ Vcam.

Looks like a re-branded MQX with a landing skid, new board and a video camera. I noticed the MQX is nowhere to be found on the blade site now. Suspect it will have the exact same issues as the MQX with the gear driven props and poor motor life. I would have liked to see the nano qx copied to the 180 QX size with brushless direct drive motors. I like that the camera can be controlled from the transmitter, but hopefully it'll be available with or without the camera.

If you like how the Nano QX flies then you'll probably like the 180 QX. Basically we ported the Nano QX code to the mQX and added a camera.
The handling qualities are excellent. Should be available early December. |

What's Pros/Cons of Drive Drive vs Gearbox? The 180QX is still gearbox is there reason it was keep that design except to be compatible for MQX users. Also it doesn't have Altitude Hold so filming or camera may be not be as stable?

It is the same size as the mQX. The booms, motors, and blades are interchangeable. I should also throw batteries into that group but I would recommend the 25C version over the 12C.

Is the canopy interchangable? Id just get the original MQX dirt cheap and replace the canopy as the older one was ugly. This looks much better and matches the NQX.
I am not a fan of those landong gears and not interested in this one for camera useage. Already got two micros that do that, and looking at the 300 sized one.

So, you'll have to perform some sort of modification to get it to work. I don't expect that to be difficult at all. Maybe 5-15 minutes if you have half-decent hobby/crafting/fabricating experience... And yes, I'll probably get one too. I just received one of the MIA mQX canopies, and that looks really cool. If the mQX had come with a better looking canopy, it probably would have sold much better...
